Why wasn’t my application accepted?
There are three reasons why:
- We’re still going over it | It hasn’t been posted yet.
We need to look over all our applicants very carefully. With a handful of mods, we all need to make sure we can agree on whether or not to allow people in. It shouldn’t take too long, at most, a week, for us to contact you.
- We didn’t receive it.
Sometimes tumblr eats things. It’s inevitable, in retrospect. If it’s going on a week or more after you reserve a character, please let us know! We might not have gotten it to begin with.
- You aren’t what we’re looking for | Your application didn’t meet requirements.
It happens. We allow a single revision of your application if we feel you could improve on it, and of course we will tell you what we think you could do better. But sometimes it just isn’t enough. Don’t take it personally, sometimes these don’t work for everyone. Maybe you’ll have a better chance another day.
What kind of characters do you accept?
As stated on our rules page, we accept everyone, sans Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. OCs, animal-human hybrids, etc. We also allow male and female versions in games that apply, such as Mass Effect. We allow a Male!Shepard and a Female!Shepard, but we do not allow genderbends of canon characters. Hetalia falls into the Male/Female versions rule based on principal, as they are not technically genderbends, they are their own characters.
In the case of Dragon Age, we are allowing a male/female of each race in each origin, a male/female of each Hawke, and a male/female of every inquisitor of every race. Two elves, two humans, qunari, dwarves etc.
With other games and shows that fall into categories like this with two player-character options, we allow this as well.
Someone is sending me rude messages! What do I do?
If you find that someone from our group is sending you rude messages, please let us know. We’re going to have to ask that you provide a screenshot as proof. Anything you tell us stays between the mods and those involved. Let’s not make it messy and let’s keep everything in context so we don’t wrongfully boot people.
I need to take a hiatus but it’s longer than expected! What should I do?
Sometimes emergencies happen, we get it. Everyone has been there. While we have a two week rule, exceptions can happen, but we don’t make them often. If you’re going to be gone for quite some time, please let us know and as mods we will make the final decision on whether to remove you or keep you.
Generally, if you’re just a couple days over two weeks, we’ll let it slide. Breaching your third week, there will possibly be a removal.
I want to apply for another character. Do I have to fill out the application entirely?
We’re gonna have to say yes. It keeps everything fair and neat, and it’s easier for us mods to follow. And please note, just because you have one character in the ring does not mean you are guaranteed to get the other you apply for.
I want to reserve! Where do I go and how long do I have?
Check the application page for the reservation form, put it in the submit box. You have three days from the day we accept the reservation (we will adjust the date accordingly) and we will message you with when you need to have your application into us by.
Generally, you have three days to get it into us. If you need an extension for whatever reason, you are allowed one extra day one time.
Why do I need to be 16+ to join the group?
It’s a maturity thing. We understand that not all ‘adults’ are mature, but as a rule of thumb, most tend to be a bit more understanding and lenient, especially when it comes to the possible triggers and mature themed roleplay. We are a group based on adult values, and we would like everyone to act like an adult.
Please do not lie about your age to us. We don’t mind if you roleplay a character under 16, but we do mind if you yourself are not. If we find that you are lying, you will be removed from the group and barred from entering again.
What if I’m a few days/weeks away from 16?
Sixteen or nothing. Just pray that the character you want, if canon, isn’t taken.
Since my character is under 16, can I do smut with characters that are?
No.It’s called child pornography. There’s a million laws. Use common sense. If your character isn’t 18, don’t have sex with someone. Implied sex is fine; fade to black, drabbles, whatever. But do not actually roleplay it in this group. If you do, you will be removed. Nobody wants legal trouble.
Nobody is interacting with me!
We can’t force everyone to interact (well, we can but then we’d be called dictators…), but we do want everyone to talk. Try approaching everyone you can. Approach new members, old members, even the mods! We have events planned to pair people up/group people together so you can all talk to new people, have new jobs assigned and whatnot. While we can only do so much, it is also up to you. Is your writing style hard to comprehend? Are you making sure your replies are easy to respond to?
Take a look at what you’re doing first and take it from there.
You said no OOC posts. What exactly does that cover?
Irrelevant fandom posts (such as spam reblogging Harry Potter when you’re not a HP blog), irrelevant text posts (my dad told me XYZ jokes!!!; ooc tagged as ‘LOL MUN STUFF’ etc) and just general things like that. Keep the OOC to a minimum.
We don’t mind if you make a few or if you’re making little alert messages for coming online/going offline and etc, but when your blog consists of more OOC than IC, we have a problem.
Do you accept ____ fandom applicants?
It depends. We’re a mature group and we’d prefer mature themed blogs. We aren’t accepting anyone from Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts for sure, but as for others, we, as mods, haven’t discussed any others. Everything is pretty much fair game. We aren’t limiting ourselves to just video games (as one of the mods is a weeb and roleplays manga), and we will accept others.
We aren’t particularly picky with who we accept, but we are also on the lookout for fandoms that tend to overtake rings very quickly and proceed to only use them for popularity. If you get turned down, it may not necessarily be based on your fandom, but it is very much so a possibility it could be that reason.
How do I pick up jobs?
When you receive a job from one of your esteemed guild masters, you’re free to accomplish it however you want! Whether it be with a partner (roleplay) or by yourself (drabble), you can accomplish it any way you want.
Be aware, you may not always pass your job you receive. As roleplayers and writers, we would like to hope that you don’t always 100% your assignments. It’s boring when everyone always does well! Don’t be afraid to “fail”, you won’t be kicked out. You don’t always need to fail, but you also don’t always need to pass.
Also take notice that we may sometimes assign you a partner for your job. We want our members to interact and sometimes they need a little push.
My partner/s from X-event isn’t answering me!
If your partner/s haven’t spoken to you or responded to you after two days, please let us know! We will assign someone else to work with you.
Can I be a mod for this group?
We’re not looking for mods currently, and we may not be in the future. Just enjoy the group and the events we try to hold for everyone!
My question isn’t listed here! What do I do?
This list will be ever growing as they come. Until such a time we need to update, please just refer to the askbox and the mods will answer you when we get the chance!
